1. Dynasty Aviation (North Perry Airport)
Dynasty Aviation Tail
Fleet: Dynasty Aviation tops the list of Miami flight schools due to its state-of-the-art fleet, which includes the modern Sling LSA, Van’s RV-12iS, and Tecnam P2006T.

Pricing and Financing: There’s a lot to love about Dynasty’s pricing and financing. They offer pay-as-you-go, so no upfront deposits are required. Everything is very transparent on their website, with no hidden costs. Plenty of payment options exist, such as Apple Pay, credit card, cash, check, and Zelle.
All pricing includes time building hours but not extra fees for checkrides, equipment, books, etc.
Success Rates: Dynasty Aviation boasts a remarkable success rate, with over 90% of students passing their check rides on the first try. The national average for completing private pilot is 70-80 hours of flight time, but Dynasty averages 50 hours.
This is primarily due to the high standards for instructors at Dynasty. It is known for being one of the hardest flight schools to get hired at, only accepting the sharpest instructors through a rigorous training process. In addition, there are no group classrooms like other flight schools. All training is personalized and one-on-one.
Our Take: Dynasty Aviation is a newish flight school, but it’s really setting itself apart from the norm quickly. It’s also great that they offer the sport pilot license in Miami and are the only school to do so. It’s a great option if you’re looking to fly in a safe and modern airplane. It tops our list as the best flight school is Miami.
Pros
Brand new aircraft
One-on-one, no classrooms
Very affordable pricing
Wide range of payment options, including pay as you go
Alisher was our guide, everyone was very friendly answered all our questions in detail and let us fly almost most of the time in air.Definately recommend!10/10
Affordable and transparent prices, strict teaching requirements, the ability to schedule classes according to student requirements, and the cradle of the dream of becoming a pilot, Dynasty is the number one in North Perry.
Had a great discovery flight with Gabriel, took his time to explain everything to me which I appreciated as well as answered all my questions. Overall the school seems very well run and would definitely recommend.
My husband recently completed his Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On at Dynasty Aviation, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. He completed everything within 10 hours, and the quality of instruction was outstanding. The planes were very well maintained, and the instruction was thorough and precise. His examiner was highly impressed with his knowledge and preparedness, all thanks to the excellent training he received here. We highly recommend Dynasty Aviation for anyone looking for top-notch flight training!
Highly recommended - ive been around for 3 years with different flight school and this is the best one so far! Hard working , helpful, on point focussed goals will helpd me a lot , they are not tryin to trick you or running shady buisness. Keeping their planes in good shape - up to date. 5 stars
I went in for my discovery flight, what an amazing experience it was!! The CFI (Marcello) was very cool, and super informative. For the brief moment I was there they treated my as if I was family, overall I had a great experience. Highly recommend!
Aviation has always been something I found interest in but never knew how to get started. With research, I was told to look into discovery flights. Dynasty Aviation happened to be by my house so I gave them a try. Eddie my instructor helped me. He was patient and very knowledgeable. Grateful for him and this experience. Highly recommend.
My review is based on my discovery flight. The air craft is modern and well maintained. The training facility is very clean and well organized. They have multiple payment options including Zelle. The price is affordable. They sell headsets, knee boards, and pilot log books in the front. They also have coffee, soda, and coffee. The discovery flight goes along the coast and you will have great views of the city and coast. The staff and instructors here are very professional and knowledgeable. My pilot was Christian Rosario, he was knowledgeable about the aircraft and even let me control the plane in the air and taxi it on the ground. I asked him a lot of questions and he met at the training facility before the flight. He contacted me the night before and answered every question I asked. I highly recommend him. I had an amazing experience. I will be working towards a private certification here and will update as I progress. I highly recommend dynasty aviation and Christian Rosario.
Pricing and Financing: This is where it’s going to be a deal breaker for most. Although American Flyers provides great training, it is very expensive. They offer loans through Sallie Mae, We Florida Financial, AOPA, and AA Credit Union.

Prices are not published online. These numbers are from Mar 2023 and have probably gone up.
Success Rates: Like most schools, American Flyers does not publish checkride success rates or how long their students average to obtain a private pilot certificate. We can only assume their pass rates are average or below, otherwise, they would want to display that proudly.
Our Take: American Flyers is a great option if you’re looking for the traditional Cessna 172 route. However, the pricing is the real problem here. You can fly the same (or better) airplanes for a lot less than other planes in the Miami area.
One other thing to mention is that American Flyers does class dates. It can take months to start training with them while you wait for a date.
My time at American Flyers has been really great from start to finish. I’ll place a heavy emphasis on how grateful I am to have worked with such amazing instructors during my time at Flyers. They go above and beyond to create a professional and fun training environment throughout the whole process. Having our own maintenance was also a huge plus. If you’re willing to put in the time and work, American Flyers is absolutely a school I would recommend to anyone
American Flyers has an amazing CFI academy program. The instruction that the school provides is nothing short of excellent and they got me done with my CFI initial quickly. I would highly recommend this program for people who wishes to do their flight instructor ratings.
I’ve had a great experience at American Flyers in Pompano beach. All of the instructors and staff I’ve encountered have been awesome. The in house maintenance is a big plus, the planes are well maintained. Can’t recommend this place enough!
I started the part 141 one on one program in August 2024 with practically zero flight training and I’m on track to finish up private, instrument and commercial by March 2025. So far my experience with American Flyers has been great. They provide you with all the tools you need to become a competent pilot. The instructors are very knowledgeable and are happy to answer any questions I might have. 10/10 would recommend.
American Flyers Pompano is as first class of a flight training school as it gets. I had the privilege of training at this school starting with my Instrument Rating all the way through my CFI/II. They care deeply about each students success and take time to put detailed action plans together to ensure every student is able to accomplish their goals in a timely and cost effective manner.I really want to thank all of my instructors as well as the administration at Flyers Pompano for helping me achieve my aviation dreams.
I recently completed all of my training at American Flyers. I started as a student pilot and worked my way up to my Commercial Multi Engine Add on. I am extremely pleased with how inviting the staff is, how amazing the learning environment is, and how well kept the planes are maintained. Whenever anyone reaches out to me being interested in starting flight school I always recommend this school first. The 141 course is very straight forward and organized. I highly recommend if you are thinking about American Flyers as an option!
American Flyers is by far the best school to train at. I just recently completed my CFI initial and it has been just such a positive environment to train at. All of the instructors are top notch, the aircraft are maintained exceptionally well and everyone is there to see you succeed. I completed my private at another school but wish I did it at flyers! I have completed instrument, commercial and cfi here. I have loved my experience so far. 20/10 Recommend training here at Flyers!!
American Flyers is the best. I achieved my private pilots rating with them and felt extremely supported throughout the whole process. From the start, Jason walked me through every step and was completely transparent. He’s so helpful and it was the first of many positive experiences at flyers. I mainly worked with Gage and Peter, they were the absolute best instructors I could have ever asked for. Everyone at Flyers is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable!I'm so glad I chose this location, it's professional, thorough, and efficient. If I ever needed anything at all, Beth and Joe were always there for me and were always willing to help me navigate through this whole process! I would highly recommend the airline academy, it's fast paced but one of the best experiences i’ve ever been apart of.
3. Pilot Training Center (Miami Executive Airport)
Pilot Training Center’s Tecnam at Miami Executive Airport
Fleet: The fleet is Pilot Training Center’s weak point. They offer classic training aircraft, but the aircraft age can be as old as 1975. Regardless, safety is always a number one priority, and maintenance is kept up-to-date.

Success Rates: Like our #2 school on this list, Pilot Training Center also does not publish checkride success rates or how long their students average to obtain a private pilot certificate. Take from that what you want.
Our Take: Pilot Training Center is a solid Miami flight school if you’re looking for one of the cheapest ways to get your certificate. That does come at the cost of flying an outdated airplane from the 70s, but it gets the job done nonetheless.
Excellent school, if you want to study aviation be careful with other schools because most of them are scam, except for this one, in here they really help me going through my training, specially one of their instructors, Sharjeel, and they are not like other schools that just care about money, 100% recommended ✈️
Amazing flight school with great instructors. I managed to get my Private Pilots License in 3 months and a half. The process is very simple and straight forward!
If you are in the market for rentals stay away from this school at all costs. The chief pilot took my money and signed me off after an introductory flight in order to rent their twin tecnam. Three times now they have cancelled on me just the day before my rental due to needing the plane for their students. Whilst I can understand their priorities, they shouldn't even let pilots like me rent the planes then. I live in Medellin, Colombia and made travel arrangements to Miami to make those flights. PIC have made me lose thousands of dollars for nothing. Not even an apology. Really really disappointing.
Nikki was my flight instructor. She was so informative and patient, it made me feel so comfortable. Although I’ve flown private, I’ve never tried to learn myself. Nikki made me feel at ease, as a true professional in aviation and I couldn’t recommend Pilot training center more highly.
