Certified Flight Instructor
Dynasty Aviation Inc. is a premier flight school in south Florida specializing in training in the modern Light-Sport aircraft. We are currently looking for a full-time instructor who’s familiar with the local busy airspace and North Perry Airport to be part of our team with a minimum of one-year of commitment.
The interview process involves three phases, preliminary, technical (ground & simulator) and flight evaluation. You will only proceed to the next phase if you meet the required standards. After the technical interview, you will be provided with 1-On-1 Ground Lessons with the Chief Instructor plus all the standardization materials required in order to increase your proficiency with our aircraft and local environments prior to the flight evaluation. Please note that our facility is the only operator in South Florida using the full digital cockpit Sling LSA and the RV-12iS which are models most candidates have little experience with, therefore our standardization process will be longer than most to ensure safety during instruction.
Our current pay structure is $21/hr for both flight and ground for the probational period (3 months or less), then adjusted to up to $27/hr base salary. You may work as much as you like since you will be making your own schedule according to the student’s demand and the facility/aircraft is available 24/7. We have instructors consistently exceeding 100hrs work hours (Ground & Sim & Flight combined) each month but we do expect all CFIs to take at least one or two days off per week to reduce the risks associated with fatigues.
This position requires strong English communication with the customers, time management discipline, following strict company policies and maintaining the highest safety standards during flight operations. Our goal is to provide exceptional service while being both safe and efficient.
- Legal working status in the U.S. (CPT/OPT/Green Card etc.)
- Valid 3rd class medical or higher
- Current on Flight Review
- Current and valid FAA issued ASEL CFI Certificate
- CFI-Instrument Rating (preferred)
- Must Live Within Local Areas and Be Familiar with Local Airport / Airspace Procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our students.
- Manage and schedule students as efficiently as possible while also being accommodating.
- Facilitate ground and flight training to students in the most efficient manner.
- Comply with company policies and the appropriate 14 CFR regulations.
- Active reporting on issues pertaining to maintenance, safety and student issues/complaints.
- Integrate and help your coworkers with various tasks if needed, be a team player.
