Five Flights. One Week. Your First Logbook Entries.

The Aviation Experience Program is built for people who want more than a single flight. Over 7 hours at North Perry Airport you sit through the same ground briefings, fly the same maneuvers, and make the same radio calls a Dynasty student makes in their first week of training. By the end you know what flight school demands, and whether you want it.

From the Classroom to the Traffic Pattern

Your program starts on the ground: aircraft systems, flight controls, the preflight inspection, airport signs and markings, and how to talk to the tower. Then you fly. Five hours of instruction cover straight-and-level flight, climbs, descents, coordinated turns, traffic-pattern work, and an instructor-led introduction to takeoffs and landings.

Every flight ends with a debrief. Your instructor reviews what you flew, what you learned, and what comes next.

Train Like a Student, Not a Passenger

This is the program for the person who wants to know what training is actually like before committing to it. You fly a Sling 2 or Van's RV-12 iS with a Garmin G3X glass cockpit, work a radio in Class D airspace, and run checklists the way Dynasty's cadets run them.

Every hour is logged with your instructor's signature. If you continue into the Private Pilot program, this time counts.

Who Is It For?

High School and College Students

Run it as a summer, winter, or spring break aviation camp. Students get cockpit time, radio work, and a clear picture of what an aviation career path looks like.

Deciding on a Pilot Career

Seven hours of training tells you more than a hundred hours of reading forums. Find out if this is the job before you pay for the certificate.

Flying a Busy Towered Airport

North Perry is one of the busiest general aviation airports in the country. If you want to learn radio work and airspace from day one, this is where to do it.

Military, Veterans, and Returning Pilots

A structured introduction to civilian FAA training, modern avionics, and South Florida airspace before choosing a longer program.

The Dynasty Difference

From your first program through advanced certifications, you will train in a professional flight school environment built around safety, structure, and one-on-one instruction at North Perry Airport.

From your first Discovery Flight through advanced certifications, you will experience a professional flight school environment built around safety, structure, and exceptional instruction at North Perry Airport.

The Step Between a Discovery Flight and Flight School

A Discovery Flight answers one question: do I like this? The Aviation Experience Program answers the next one: can I do this? If the answer is yes, you leave with logged hours, a training plan, and a seat in Dynasty's Private Pilot program whenever you are ready.

No prior experience is required. Just the willingness to study, fly, and find out.

Aviation Experience Program FAQs

How is this different from a Discovery Flight?

A Discovery Flight is one 45-minute flight with a short briefing. The Aviation Experience Program is 2 hours of ground instruction plus 5 hours of flight training across multiple sessions. You go beyond feeling the controls to learning takeoffs, landings, radio communication, and traffic-pattern procedures the way a student pilot does.

Do I need any experience?

No. The program starts with aircraft familiarization and basic aerodynamics. Every participant flies with a certified flight instructor in the seat beside them.

Do the hours count toward a pilot certificate?

Yes. All 5 flight hours are logged as dual instruction received with a Dynasty Aviation CFI and apply toward the flight time required for a Private Pilot or Sport Pilot certificate if you continue training.

How is the program scheduled?

Most participants complete it in 3 to 5 days as a camp-style block, which works well for school breaks. You can also spread the sessions across several weeks. After you book, our team contacts you to build a schedule around your availability and the weather.

Can this be run as a summer, winter, or spring break camp?

Yes. The program is designed to fit a school break. We schedule the ground sessions and five flights across consecutive days so a student can complete the full program in one week.

What aircraft will I fly?

You train in a Sling 2 or Van's RV-12 iS, both equipped with a Garmin G3X glass cockpit. These are the same aircraft Dynasty students use for Private Pilot and Sport Pilot training.

Is North Perry Airport a good place to train?

North Perry (KHWO) is a towered airport in Pembroke Pines, between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and one of the busiest general aviation airports in the country. You learn radio communication and airspace awareness from your first flight, which is a significant advantage over training at a quiet, untowered field.

Is there a weight or age requirement?

Participants must be under 240 lbs due to aircraft limitations. There is no minimum age to fly with an instructor, and a student must be at least 16 to solo and 17 to earn a Private Pilot certificate. Participants under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the booking.

What should I bring?

A government-issued photo ID, sunglasses, closed-toe shoes, and a notebook. A headset is provided for every session. We will send a short pre-reading packet after booking.

Can I give this as a gift?

Yes. Purchase a gift card for the program amount and the recipient schedules at their convenience. Gift cards do not expire.

What happens after the program?

Your instructor delivers a debrief covering what you flew, where you stand, and a written training plan if you want to continue. Participants who enroll in the Private Pilot program carry their logged hours forward.

What Does Flying at Dynasty Look Like?

Hoover visited Dynasty Aviation to evaluate the Sling and see how it compares to trainers he has flown for years. What unfolds is a behind-the-scenes look at a real lesson in progress, showcasing cockpit workflow, instructor interaction, and what flying at Dynasty actually feels like.
