From 500 Hours to the Regional Flight Deck

The Piedmont Cadet Program is designed for pilots who are ready to take their career seriously. Once you reach 500 hours total time and hold your commercial multi-engine certificate with instrument rating, you're eligible to apply.

Cadets who complete the ATP-CTP course and exam are placed directly into Piedmont's next available new hire class with no additional interview required.

Through the American Airlines Cadet Academy, you can also access financing options for training from 0 to 500 hours, making this pathway accessible from day one at Dynasty Aviation.

Do I need to be affiliated with a specific flight school to apply?

No school affiliation is necessary. The Piedmont Cadet Program is open to any pilot who meets the minimum qualifications. Training at Dynasty Aviation puts you on a strong foundation, but cadets are free to build hours any way they choose.

What does Piedmont cover financially?

Cadets receive a $15,000 bonus upon joining. Piedmont also covers the full cost of the ATP-CTP course and exam, including hotel accommodations and ground transportation during the course period.

Is there an interview required after completing ATP-CTP?

No additional interview is required. Once you complete the ATP-CTP course and exam, you are placed directly into the next available new hire class at Piedmont Airlines.

What is the path after Piedmont Airlines?

Piedmont Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group. Pilots who build experience and meet American Airlines' qualifications can advance to the mainline carrier, one of the largest airlines in the world.
